MY REVIEW: The author was kind enough to send me a review copy of Muse: A Cat’s Story. A perfect book of action, friendship, independence too. My favorite thing about Muse is her mind speaking. Oh and there is loss in the book but Muse learns a lot. If you love touching stories about animals Muse will steal your heart.

WHY I LIKE TO READ FANTASY BOOKS

I like fantasy because it is a not real world were you can do every thing you want by that I mean  I some times feel as if I’m in it myself and I will stop reading and sort of explore the place I’m in and then when I see the movie and it is way different then I imagined it but my mind just changes it to the way it is supposed to look or just forgets it was wrong and keeps it the way it was.

I like fantasy because it is often a long series of books to read and always end with a happy ending. my favorite fantasy series is the Percy Jackson series because it is such a long series that i can read for days and days and days.

MY VACATION

You may have noticed I haven’t been online lately, that’s because I was on vacation

first we went on a plane to Minnesota I sat next to my mom and played on my Nintendo d.s. the game was bejeweled eventually I stopped playing because my ears hurt like crazy. Then I realized we were in Minneapolis just starting to lower so I shut off my game and pushed in my ear plugs.

When we got there we almost got lost because we had to take a tram to pick up luggage and we had almost missed the sign we got to the tram stop just as it came to a stop. We rode the tram to baggage pick up. We got off and went to baggage before we got there we saw grandpa Dennis and uncle Jesse pick up a flag and start waving it. It was the Canada flag! We yelled at them it was upside down as we ran to give them hugs. Then we grabbed our luggage and walked to there car and went to grandpa Dennis’s house.

While we were there we went to Lake Elmo to fish. Uncle Jesse taught me algebra we played games and had fun. Then we went to Grandma Vikki’s house. We went swimming in the pool, watched TV and saw Grandma Vikki’s apartment. It was cool. Then we went back to Grandpa Dennis’s house for the last two days and then went to another airplane to go home. When we got home it was nine o’clock but it was still light out. We got home at about twelve o’clock and went straight to bed. That was how my vacation went.

2015 Young Authors Conference

I went to the 2015 Foothills Young Authors conference it was so fun!!

First I went to the keynote presentation by Marty Chan where he spoke about books, young authors and told us a bit about himself he took a spiral and I thought, “oh no hes going to hypnotize us” and guess what he sort of did!!! that was my favorite part of the keynote presentation!!!! marty chan talked about his life and how he began to like books.

Then, I attended James Grasdal’s “Cartooning As A Writing Strategy.” He taught me how to make a good comic. First, you must know a lot about your main character. We practiced this by having a volunteer become the main character. Mr. Grasdal picked a volunteer, and we raised hands to learn all about him to know what to put in a comic about him. Last, we drew a comic all about the volunteer, our main character!!!!!

Lunch was next I had a very big delicious hamburger. I didn’t finish it all. There was cookies too but I was to full!!!!!!

My next event was Lorna Bennett’s “Let’s Create Characters.” We learned how to create characters so they look very realistic, such as a dog named “Duge” (no, I did not name him). We also learned how to draw a baby pig vs. an adult pig!

Last, but not at all least, my favorite presentation was by an author my mom has actually met once before: Jacqueline Guest! She taught us “How To Dress Up A Skeleton” which means how to add detail and description to the Five W’s (Who, What, When, Where, and Why). It was fun to do story writing using these techniques. Finaly, we had an awesomely, amazingly fun game where we read out our stories on teams for points. My team tied with the other team.

At the end of the day, I went to the bookstore and bought five books with money I earned doing lots of chores. I even got them autographed by the authors! The books I am most excited about are The Ehrich Weisz Chronicles by Marty Chan. I’m also excited about The Fragile Bones by Lorna Schultz Nicholson because it’s about a kid with Aspergers/Autism, and I have ADHD with traits of Aspergers! How cool is that!

OK I’m being serious: words CANNOT describe how awesome the day was. If you don’t believe me go to the next Young Author’s conference and find out! I learned so much today my brain must be bigger!

MY REVIEW: I like that with each god you learn about their weapons, how they got their weapons, and how life began with them, and how Earth came to be. Like the young authors conference it was so fun to read it I have no way to describe it. You have to read it yourself.

PicsArt_1403225052863

MY REVIEW: Read in between stories to find out a bit about the next new character(s). The book was really cool with all the transporting around the world… no, sorry. The universe. No, universes. I liked the way each universe was not like Earth and each universe was different from the other universes. If you like teleporting books you’ll like this book!
